Straight Up Truth Ministry exists to proclaim the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ with boldness and clarity, cutting through confusion and cultural noise to deliver the Straight Up Truth of Scripture to a world that desperately needs it. We believe the Bible means exactly what it says, and our calling is to make that message accessible to every person, in every nation.

We long to see a searching world find real answers in Scripture. So we are working to carry this teaching beyond one room at a time, translating it into twenty world languages, beginning with French and Spanish, so that anyone, anywhere, can understand what God says about the days we live in.

Bernard Bourque

Bernard came to Christ and, just two months later, was asked by a group of friends to teach them the book of Revelation. He was discipled by Gordon Johnson, who was working on his doctorate at Dallas Theological Seminary, and he learned the book one small section at a time, starting at the very end and working backward.

That was more than thirty five years ago, and he has been studying, teaching, and drawing prophecy on charts ever since. Along the way he earned a Master of Arts from Dallas Theological Seminary and planted five churches across Texas and Missouri. In 2024, after two open heart surgeries and nearly dying twice, God made his mission unmistakable. Take those decades of teaching and put them into books, so the truth could reach far past his Bible studies and into the hands of anyone who wanted to understand.

Barry carries the operations, publishing, and outreach so Bernard can stay focused on teaching. With a background in theology and more than twenty years of pastoral ministry (youth pastor, associate pastor, senior pastor, and counselor), he is building the road that takes this message from living rooms and small groups into churches across the country and around the world.

What we believe

Jesus Christ is on the throne, and He is in control.

We teach the Bible verse by verse, tracing prophecy back to its roots in Scripture so it makes sense. We do not set dates. We do not chase headlines. We point people to the Savior, and we help them trade fear for confidence in the God who holds the future.
